Schedule of Events:

Friday night:

Homecoming Gathering and Game @ OPHS. Yes, after years of being away it is time to attend a Raider football game. Maybe you want to bring your kids to see their first Raider game!?! The Gathering is an all class-year reunion held in conjunction each year with the homecoming game. Tailgating starts at 5:00 p.m. in the OPHS Drivers Ed lot! Game time is 7:30 p.m. versus Palatka. You need to purchase your tickets directly to this event. These can be purchased online at: http://ophsgathering.com/joomla/ . The cost is approximately $7.

Saturday lunch (11:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m.):

To continue our tradition, we will be having a family picnic/pizza party. One of our classmates has opened up their home and it will be a terrific time. The cost for this event is $5 for each individual with a maximum of $15 per family. You must register for this event with our registration process (explained in detail later in this document). Ticket must be purchased in conjunction with the Saturday night ticket. This is a good time for the kids and a super opportunity to touch base with old friends before the nighttime gala.

Saturday night:

This is the big event! We will be celebrating with free parking, hors d'oeuvres, a buffet dinner, cash bar, dancing and mingling in one of the most memorable hotspots in Orange Park the Hilltop. There will be a professional DJ and photography opportunities. Also in the works is an on-call taxi or shuttle service to nearby hotels. Cocktail/semiformal attire is recommended. The cost for this event is $55 per individual ticket.

5. Watch your email for an invoice. Please check your invoice and make sure it is correct based on the requested events. We must have the name/number of attendees to determine the correct charge.

6. Pay your invoice. Preferred payment is Paypal. If you cannot use Paypal, you can pay with a money order. Mail the money order directly to the address on the invoice. We would love to have 90% of our attendees pay by September 5.

Since we are planning this event ourselves, it is critical that the money comes in so we can pay our vendors.

We have a monthly all - class gathering at the Ale House on Wells Road.

It started with a few people planning the class of 1984 reunion, then the class of 1982 joined us...now it is wide open!!

In August, we had about 50 from so many different classes!

Join us September 12 (4 p.m.) at the Ale House - don't worry if you don't remember anyone or if you don't know anyone - we reintroduce ourselves monthly

Orange Park HS Friends - Classes of 78/79/80 ---

If you can't find who you're looking for here, Facebook as of this date has become very popular. Classmates from 78,79,80, have a good many profiles posted. Reunion for those classes is in Sept of 09. Come find some old friends who lived, partied, and went though the same life happenings as you. "OPHS.Net" has been wonderful in helping friends come together. Please keep tabs on it. I'm just suggesting another option. Look forward to seeing or hearing from you again soon!

WOW 10yrs! After high school I went straight to SJRCC and then to UNF. Graduated c/o '04 with a BA in Elem. Education. Got married the summer of 2001, however, life plans took us in different paths in 2005. Got a job in Green Cove Springs and remained ever since. Had lots of fun traveling all over Florida on weekends and then my adventures lead me to a great person and eventually a fantastic daughter in Sept. 2007. Since then we have been living the normal Clay County life...work, home, and weekend play groups

Passing of Vance Lasage

I just recieved an email that Vance Lasage lost his battle with cancer.
Although I haven't kept up with most of my friends from school Vance and i were good friends then. I am saddened by his passing and send my condolances to his family.
